My story
Hello! My name is Cadee Coombs. I am a Dental Hygiene student at South College in Nashville, Tennessee.
In June 2025, I moved to Nashville from Maine with my two children, ages 5 and 7, to pursue a career in dental hygiene. While living in Maine, I worked as an oral surgery assistant, where I quickly developed a passion for dentistry and discovered how much I enjoy helping patients feel comfortable and cared for.
As I continue through my dental hygiene program, one of my biggest goals is to make every patient feel safe, respected, comfortable, and understood. I believe that quality dental care goes beyond treating teeth—it is also about building trust and creating a positive experience for each patient.
As a single mom, pursuing this career means so much to me. I want to create the best future possible for my children and show them that even when something is challenging, they can accomplish hard things when they are determined and willing to work for them.
Because I am still relatively new to the Nashville area, I am reaching out to my community and beyond for anyone who may be willing to help me complete my clinical requirements by becoming a patient. Appointments are supervised by experienced instructors and a licensed dentist, and while they may take longer than a typical dental appointment, they provide an opportunity for me to gain valuable hands-on experience while providing thorough, quality care.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping me along my journey, I would truly appreciate your support. Every patient makes a difference as I work toward becoming a licensed dental hygienist. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting me!
